Top Ten Restaurants in Wyoming
4 of the 10 are pinned on the map above. Neither OpenStreetMap nor Wikidata carries a location for Snake River Grill, King Sushi, Sitti's Table, Miners and Stockmen's Steakhouse & Spirits, Irma Restaurant & Grille and Lake Hotel Dining Room, so they are listed below but not pinned — a missing pin is left missing rather than guessed at. Each row also links straight to its own location in Google Maps.
The MICHELIN Guide does not yet publish a selection covering Wyoming, so this list leads with James Beard Foundation recognition. Wyoming has never produced a Best Chef winner, but its record of James Beard finalists and semifinalists fills the middle of the page and ten entries now clear the ladder.

Why these ten
Wyoming sits outside every MICHELIN selection, published or announced, so all three MICHELIN rungs are empty. The James Beard winners rung holds exactly one entry. No Wyoming restaurant has ever won Outstanding Restaurant, Outstanding Chef or Best New Restaurant, and no Wyoming chef has won the regional Best Chef award — the Mountain region covering Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming has gone to Colorado or Idaho every year it has been given. That leaves Nora's Fish Creek Inn and its 2012 America's Classics award alone at the top.
Rows two to six come off the finalist and semifinalist rung, which is what makes this page reach ten at all. The Foundation publishes those lists each January, so they are as checkable as a win, and they are ordered here by the oldest year first. Suchada Johnson of Teton Thai in Teton Village went furthest of anyone: named a Best Chef: Mountain semifinalist in 2020 and 2022, she reached the final five in 2023, which is the closest Wyoming has come to the award. Chris McDonald of Cowfish in Lander was a semifinalist in 2022 and still runs that kitchen. Snake River Grill is the one entry on this rung that does not rest on a chef: Jeff Drew took the restaurant to the Best Chef finals in 2020 and then retired in 2023, and the distinction listed here is the restaurant-level Outstanding Hospitality semifinalist place it took in 2024, after he had gone. Jason King of King Sushi in Jackson was a Best Chef: Mountain semifinalist the same year, and Porter Koury and Jacob Scott of Sitti's Table in Cody, a Lebanese daytime room open since 2022, followed in 2025.
The bottom four come off the last rung, where a Wikipedia article is itself the qualification. Two of them need a caveat stated plainly rather than buried. Miners and Stockmen's carries its own Wikipedia article as a restaurant. The three that follow do not: the Irma, the Old Faithful Inn and the Lake Hotel are Wikipedia-notable buildings that house dining rooms, and the listing year in the distinction column belongs to the building, granted by the National Park Service, not to the kitchen. They are the weakest entries on the page and are kept as the state's only remaining documented dining rooms of any standing. The two Yellowstone dining rooms are seasonal and shut for roughly half the year.
Nora's needs one more note. The restaurant that won the 2012 award closed in October 2022 after the founding family sold up. Tom Fay and Eddie Opler bought it, kept the name and reopened at the same address in Wilson, and it now serves seven days a week. The award year is real and the room is open, but the thread between the two runs through a change of ownership.
Five candidates were checked and rejected. Le Rêve Restaurant & Raw Bar in Sheridan was a 2025 Best New Restaurant semifinalist, the strongest national category any Wyoming room has reached, but it was listed as temporarily closed through mid-2026 and closed rooms stay off until service is confirmed again. Il Villaggio Osteria in Teton Village was a 2011 semifinalist under Paul O'Connor, who has long since left; Marco Morillon runs the kitchen now, so the nomination no longer travels with the restaurant. The Outlaw Saloon in Cheyenne closed in December 2025. Toomey's Mills in Newcastle was demolished in 2012. Taco John's was founded in Cheyenne but is a national fast-food chain and moved its headquarters to Minnesota in 2025.
Two more Wyoming nominations are for bakeries and were left off for the same reason a patisserie is left off the South Dakota page: Persephone in Jackson was a 2020 Outstanding Pastry Chef semifinalist, and Atelier Ortega in Jackson Hole was named in the bakery and pastry categories in 2025 and 2026.
One candidate clears the ladder and is held back only by the count. Glorietta Trattoria in Jackson, a 2026 Best Chef: Mountain semifinalist under Remle Colestock, is a restaurant and qualifies outright. On a strict reading of the ladder it outranks the three building-listing entries at the foot of the table; those are kept because they were already published with their caveat stated, and Glorietta is first in line the moment a seat opens.
