# Ohio White-tailed Deer Season Ohio's only big-game animal and the one the whole autumn calendar is built around. Archery 26 Sept – 7 Feb; youth gun 21–22 Nov; gun 30 Nov – 6 Dec and 19–20 Dec; muzzleloader 2–5 Jan. Only one antlered deer may be taken in a licence year regardless of method. In the Chronic Wasting Disease surveillance area archery opens 12 Sept and an early gun season runs 10–12 Oct.
