# Ohio Wild Turkey Season Extirpated from Ohio by 1904 and absent for half a century; restored by trap-and-transfer from the 1950s and huntable statewide again by 2000. Spring 2026 ran 25 April – 24 May in the south zone (83 counties) and 2–31 May in the northeast zone (Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Trumbull); the spring 2027 dates are announced early in the year and the bar above carries the south zone as the state's larger share. Fall turkey is 1–25 Oct in select counties and shotgun only — no archery.
